Hello friends, If you travel a lot on National Highways or Expressways, then there is a new good news for you. From 15th August, NHAI has started a new plan called FASTag Annual Pass. With this pass, you can cross toll plazas without paying again and again. It is like a subscription. Let us understand in simple words.
How to Buy FASTag Annual Pass?
- You cannot buy this pass from shops or banks.
- It is available only on NHAI official website or Rajmarg mobile app.
- First, your car and FASTag will be checked for eligibility.
- After that, you need to pay ₹3000.
- Once payment is done, your same old FASTag will get the Annual Pass. No need to buy a new tag.
Where Will It Work?
- This pass will work only on National Highways and National Expressways.
- On State Highways, normal toll will be deducted from FASTag.
How Will Trips Be Counted?
- Passing one toll = 1 trip
- Going and coming back = 2 trips
- On expressway, entry + exit together = 1 trip
Validity of the Pass
- The pass is valid for 1 year or 200 trips, whichever finishes first.
For Which Vehicles?
- Only for private cars, jeeps or vans.
- Not for taxis or commercial vehicles. If used, the pass will be cancelled.
- It is not transferable. It will only work on the car where the FASTag is registered.
How to Pay?
- You can pay ₹3000 using UPI, card or net banking.
- Payment from FASTag wallet is not allowed.
- After activation, you will get SMS alerts about your trips and balance.
If You Already Have a Local or Monthly Pass?
- Even if you already have a Local or Monthly Pass, you can still take this Annual Pass.
- In such case, on tolls where Local Pass is active, Annual Pass trips will not be cut.
